Adoption Application

***Please do not submit an application for a dog that is not yet listed as adoptable. Your application will be lost in the shuffle***

Adoptions include all vaccinations, spaying/neutering, worming, flea meds, microchips and heartworm tests (when relevant), a free first vet visit and lots of kisses! All of our dogs and cats have been fostered with loving families, so we know our pets well and they are healthy!

Step 1: Fall in love

Step 2: Complete an adoption application

Step 3: A volunteer will be contacting you shortly, either via email or phone to conduct a short interview

Step 4: A home visit will be scheduled, we will bring the dog to you for your entire family to meet.

Step 5: Vet references/landlord references  will be checked .

Step 6: Once you are approved, you can make arrangements to get your new best friend!

Please note: You MUST be 21 years of age or older to adopt an animal from us (bully breeds you must be 25). We require that all other animals in the home are current on their vaccinations and spayed/neutered. Exceptions for vaccines will ONLY be made when their is advisement from a vet that vaccines would be unhealthy for your dog (i.e. if they suffer from Autoimmune). We only adopt to areas within a 45 minute driving distance from the East Amherst, NY area. Some exceptions will be made for certain dogs (i.e. dogs with certain medical needs, or dogs needing minor training). No exceptions for the driving distance rule will be made for highly adoptable dogs.

Adoption donations for our fully vetted pets vary by dog. Please note, that submitting an application does not necessarily mean you will be allowed to adopt a new friend.

We will do a home visit and check vet references prior to adoption, no exceptions . We are so stringent on our adoption requirements because the dogs in our care have been bounced around at least once in their lives. Our adopters appreciate the fact that we are so careful with matching up a great dog with a super family. We never just shuffle off a dog to a new home just to say we save another one. We take pride in what we do and our dogs are our first priority.

Thank you for submitting your application! We look forward to working with you!
