Miley needs to go to a home with a fenced yard, another dog, an active dog-family and no renters. If you don't fit that criteria, please don't apply.... another dog may be suited for you, but not Miley. (sorry).
Miley is such a gem of a dog! Any family would be lucky to have her. She is smart, loving, and absolutely adorable. Miley is around 14 weeks old. Her dad was a purebred blue heeler and mom was a purebred blue tick coonhound. All the pups ended up at a high kill shelter. They came to us and Miley is the one that looks most like a heeler. She is stocky and her ears are starting to stand up. She is very, VERY smart. She already knows her name and will come when you call it. She knows the word "no" and responds very well to discipline. She is crate trained, and we are working on her house training. She has a lot of puppy energy, so she should go to a home with a companion dog and a fenced yard. She actually looks for direction. She would make an EXCELLENT agility dog. She will flourish if given a job to do or an activity. She's fast, smart, and loves to please. She likes to cuddle and will settle down nicely when in your arms. Miley needs to be a constant part of the family. We would really like her to go to people who are active with their dogs, or who plan to be active with their new pup! A dream home would take her for daily walks, romps in the park, doggy day care or puppy classes. Pictures don't do her justice. She has a strange fear of vehicles. The louder they are, the scarier they are to her. She tries to run away when one goes by. Her new parents will have to work on this with her and be aware that she tries to get away. Perhaps if she goes to a city this wouldn't be the best scenerio, living in a busy, high traffic area. Miley is also afraid of the lawn mower. She will do anything she can do to get away from it. It is a real phobia! Miley has had her 2 sets of puppy shots and her third one is just around the corner! She will be spayed, at our vet, as part of her adoption fee. We will put that in her adoption contract and we WILL follow up. She will be ready for her rabies shots when she is 3 or 4 months old. What a pup! ------------------------ Please apply for her today!
