Meet Daisy, an adoptable, 2-year-old female dog. A retriever mix, Daisy is an active, playful and loving dog.
She enjoys belly rubs and cuddling, and according to her foster Mom, “I can’t stop petting her sometimes because her fur is so soft!”
Daisy is cooperative, housebroken and crate-trained. Her dog bed is located in her crate and Daisy feels comfortable in her own space there.
“She was a bit shy and skittish when we met her,” adds her foster Mom. “I’ve found a little bit of training goes a long way. Daisy is a smart dog that is very receptive to training. We have spent time ‘people watching’ and her social skills have improved immensely. She used to be quite the barker, but not anymore! We take long, quiet walks together and she’s even stopped barking when people come to our home.”
Daisy has asked that her forever home have another dog with which she can play and become a best friend. She loves to play with the 3-year-old resident dog in her foster home. They play fetch together and run around in the fenced backyard. Daisy and the resident dog like to train together and work on learning new commands. She knows and responds to the “sit,” “lie down,” “give paw” and “spin” commands.
Daisy, who weighs about 45 pounds, is very good walking on a leash and doesn’t pull. She loves car rides and is good with older children and cats.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, has been micro-chipped, and is on monthly flea/heartworm preventative medication. Daisy’s adoption fee includes a free vet-visit certificate to keep her on a healthy track.
