Black Dog, Second Chance
~Black dogs are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized in shelters~
We are a NO-KILL rescue, 501(c)3
Thank you to everyone who donated to help us save the dogs! We are able to save FIVE dogs because of sponsorships as well as foster homes for these guys! We saved: a little black terrier, a little white dog, a corgi/peek/chi mix, a jrt mix, and a Big Black Dog that we are naming Blue Dog.
There are dogs on death row that we are trying to save! We have a volunteer willing to drive all the way to Tennessee to save them, but we need sponsors to pay their pull fees. It is $80 per dog for a health certificate, heartworm test, rabies vaccine, dhlpp, and worming. BDSC will pay for the gas money, their spay/neuters and microchips and food once they are here. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Can you foster? Can you sponsor a dog? Their pictures are on our website under "URGENT".
All donations are tax-deductable
Our Next Adoption Event is September 18th at
3340 Sheridan Drive, Amherst (corner of Sweethome)
11-2:00.
Dogs that will be there: TBD
All donations are tax-deductable
We are looking for volunteers to join in our efforts to save homeless, abandoned, neglected and sometimes abused dogs. We are searching for motivated individuals who have a drive to make a difference in our pet community. We are currently forming a fundraising team. If you would like to join our growing team and help us by coordinating, spearheading, organizing, or participating in fundraisers, please complete our simple, online volunteer application form so you can get started! Teams are forming now and fundraising will continue all throughout the fall/winter at various times. Jump in and help when you can. We appreciate all the help we can get (and so do the dogs)!
